Toying with selling and updated picture of progress..

Post  Guest on Wed May 18, 2011 4:45 am

£2650
I am still uncertain on price.. I don't want to go over the top and some one can't enjoy it and then I don't want to undersell it as alot of work has gone in to it. To preserve it and bring it back to what it was new.. very difficult colour to match. We got close but will need time for paint to age and blend. Only the arches as they were needing to be stripped and re done to make it as good as new again..

anyway I am thinking some one on here to take over the rains and take her to shows and just enjoy the car. Your not be into some huge resto with welding and repainting. It's as it is in the photo. A straight car. Drives nice, gear box is smooth, steering is nice ( now the tyres are pumped up LOL ) I say every thing works there is an issue with the radio no sound but does come on.. so not looked into that. Interior is really really almost mint. Just very light wear on the carpet with age but the seats are to be honest 9.5 out of 10. Plastic inside no tears nothing..
48,400 miles.

12months MOT ( 3 tax) was done yesterday, sailed though. MOT man was abit shocked at the condition and said it reminded him of when he worked on them in the 70's and it's looking like a 3-4 year old car underneath.. it's been looked after for sure in it's past life..

I am thinking at a sensible price of £2650 to you guys I may later when i properly go to sell it on web sites and that classic car ones for £3250-2999

Turn key car to take to shows, wash polish and enjoy.. not a £700 project and then needing £3k-4k to spend on it to restore it. This is an orginal car. Would be nice to sell it to some one to enjoy it and carry on the good work these are rare now.. I can't go anywhere with out some one stopping to talk to me in it!! mad...... for a car people say the hated so many people smile and want to talk to you when you are out and about in it. Only project left for the car that was on my todo list was to repair and blend the paint around the indicator lamps, it's not desprate now it's just trying to keep it perfect. So that will need to be done at a later date for and by some one.. certainly not an issue for corrosion at any point soon on it..

If some one really likes it and is on this forum I can wait while you sort out monies as I am not in a rush to sell. I would rather the right buyer have the car to enjoy than just sell for the sake of selling..
