surplus spares

Post  giz on Mon Jul 11, 2011 6:31 am

Hi everyone, I recently bought a large amount of spares which has helped my project enormously.
I have no idea what anything is worth as the only car parts I've bought for the last 14 years have been for minis!
So the best thing to do is just make me an offer. If anyone wants to come down and have a rummage that's ok too

every thing will soon be added as a job lot on ebay to make room so if you see anything you like please get in touch......

Boot lid
Boot lid hard board cover
4 door black material seats and door cards
1500 twin crabs and inlet manifold
1500? Head and cam
Dash boards and consoles some have wood inserts
Clocks
Square time clock
3 gauges in a pod
Speedo
Good Chrome front bumper with spots
Every kind of lights, surrounds, lenses etc just ask
Indicator stalks
Steering cowlings

headlights

Post  moggieman on Sun Jul 17, 2011 12:17 pm

Hi - I'd be interested in a pair of the headlights as long as they're not sealed units. Could you confirm please, with a price if possible.
Thanks, David

Thanks - it was the rectangular type, by the way. I see you have both.

Spare parts

Post  Andy Perman on Wed Sep 28, 2011 3:40 pm

Hi Giz,

Found your spares on e-bay and followed link to this great forum which i've just joined. I'd be interested in the gauges in the panel, the interior lights and if you have one (couldn't see from the photo's)a rear number plate light.

Also if you have a rumage day could you let me know as i wouldn't mind 'diving in' although bit of a journey as i'm south coast based (sure it would be worth it though).

Changing subject, read with interest your latest project, the aggro estate. Looks like a challenge, but will be worth the work. Up together the estates do fetch a very good price and seem to be getting quite rare nowadays.

Mine's a Nov 74 Vanden Plas auto which I'm restoring when time permits. Found it in a scrap yard last year and was smitten. Body is fairly tidy, just some cosmetic tidying up to do. Main things to sort are brakes (non at all), wrong radiator fitted, exhaust and lot's of electrical problems (like nothing works !!)

I contacted you through e-bay too, before I got here, so either way let me know.

Thanks. Andy

Hi andy, I have replied via ebay but I thought I would do it here as well
the interior lights I have left aren't very good and I don't think I have any number plate lights.
If you want the pod and gauges as they need a good clean you can have them for 25 posted.
I need to start making space now so I can strip the estate so all the parts will be listed as a job lot in the next few days.
i have changed my first posts and posted my latest pictures to the updated stock.
i'm open to offers on anything in the pictures and also offers for the whole lot

Re spares

Post  Andy Perman on Thu Sep 29, 2011 1:13 pm

Hi Giz,

25 posted for the gauges is fine. How do you want paying? Paypal?

Unfortunately I can't make a rummage before Sat afternoon as working till sunday. I could make Tues or weds next week if thats possible? Obviously I could pay for gauges then if it's OK. (plus any 'spoils from the rumage!)

Cheers.

Andy.

Hi again,

Bit more time this evening so got to read all your progress on HON. I have a good bumper and a good O/S front indicator/side lamp. Would be happy to bring them with me for rumage if they are of use to you ?

Re: surplus spares

Post  giz on Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:55 pm

wednesday afternoon would be ok (i'll be asleep until about 1pm).

i managed to get hold of all the spares i need i think from the job lot and what is left i have no need for. all i need to find now is a rear wiper motor, rear mud flaps and a few pieces of navy interior - drivers door pull, head rests and carpet to cover the inner door steps.

study the photos before you decide if your coming as i dont want you to waste your time travelling all this way just for some gauges!

my phone number is on the ebay add, text me before sunday if you are coming or not, if you are i will hold off putting all the spares on ebay if not i will start the listing on sunday evening.

Re Gauges

Post  Andy Perman on Sat Oct 01, 2011 10:02 am

Hi Giz, work commitments have filled up pretty much all of next week now so a rumage is going to be impossible. I'll take the gauges for 25 quid please, let me know how you want me to pay (paypal?)
I'll reply on e-bay too just to be sure.

Looking forward to the next update on your restoration. My new exhaust turned up today, guess what I'm doing tomorrow ??!!

Cheers. Andy.

Ive replied via ebay mate.
Parts now listed as a job lot. The strip down has begun and my mate who owns the garage has just bought 2 more metros so everything really must go! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Allegro-parts-spares-new-and-old-job-lot-/260864506729
