rolling an allegro over!
hi,
i just wondered if anyone had ever rolled an allegro on it's side to weld the underside before?
a member of another forum made a good point about the warning of using the correct jacking points to reduce the risk of body twist which made me wonder if rolling the car onto it's side would cause permanent damage, would anyone say that it wasn't advisable and i should try and make a spit or do you think it will be ok?
i've done it before with 2 mini pickups with no problems and the steel on minis seem to be a lot more flimsy and thin from my experience so far
what do you think?

rolling an Allegro
Hi Giz,
I would only consider rolling an Allegro for welding if you can fabricate some sort of cage. The ones I've seen for Morris Minors usualy bolt to the wheel mounts. I would say rolling it without this is risky as the Allegro was always a bit weak in body design and can twist easily. Add age and rust onto this and the problem can only worsen.
Best of luck iwth your work though!
