no spark off coil lead
Hi there, I've got a 1981 1500HL i've recently fitted new leads, coil, points and cap, starter motor, plugs and the motor turns over but there is no spark from the leads? any suggestions would be grateful guys.

Check you have fitted the points correctly and the live side isn't touching the body and the insulation is ok.
Firstly disconnect the - side of the coil and check you have 12v , if not then there is a problem with your supply or the coil if the + side has 12v
Secondly reconect the - side and move the car in gear until the points are open, now check the - side if you have 0v with the ignition on you either have incorrectly fitted points, a broken condenser or a wiring fault.
